4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Microwave chocolate and butter or melt stove top in 3 quart saucepan on very low heat until melted, stirring constantly. In a large microwaveable bowl at high for 2 minutes or until butter completely melts. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into melted chocolate until completely blended. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour until well blended. Add nuts if wanted.

Spread in a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out almost clean (do not overbake). Cool in pan, cut into squares. Makes 24 brownies.
