HOMEMADE BISCUITS 
4 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. lard or shortening, melted
2 c. milk or enough to make four pliable or can make gooey to drop from a spoon

Melt lard in some pan to bake biscuits in. Pour hot lard in flour and mix in milk enough for dough to form small ball. Shape into biscuits and roll in flour or place in pan. Bake in 425 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Brush top with lard and serve hot with butter.
