3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. Crisco or 1 stick butter
3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
5 eggs
1 c. milk

Sift together flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Cream sugar, butter and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Alternate flour mixture with milk. Add vanilla. Pour in greased and floured steeple pan and bake 1 hour at 325°F or 350°F. Usually takes a little longer!
