FINNISH FINGERS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. almond extract

GARNISH:

1 beaten egg
15 chopped pecans or almonds
2 tsp. sugar

Cream butter with sugar, add flavoring and flour, mix well and chill. Roll on floured board into finger thickness strips. Place several side by side on board, paint with egg white and sprinkle with sugar and nut mixture. Cut into 2 inch lengths, place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in 375 degree oven until lightly browned (about 10 minutes).
