SOFT GINGERBREAD | |
1/2 c. sugar 1 c. molasses 1/2 c. butter or lard 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ginger 1 c. boiling water 2 tsp. baking soda 2 1/2 c. flour 2 eggs, slightly beaten Mix the first 6 ingredients until well blended. Add boiling water and baking soda. When cool, add flour and beat until smooth. Add slightly beaten eggs and mix again. Bake in a well greased 13 x 9 inch pan for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. |
