DORIS' DRESSING | |
1 lb. saltine crackers 4 slices toast 2 tsp. salt (add to your taste) 1 tsp. pepper (add to your taste) 3 tsp. poultry season (add to your taste) 2 eggs 1 stick melted butter 4 cans oysters Approximately 4 c. boiling water Crumble crackers and toast in large bowl. Add salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning; mix well. Add eggs, butter, and oysters. Add oyster juice to boiling water or turkey broth, then mix with the cracker ingredients. Add enough water to desired consistency of dressing. Stuff your bird and bake. Yield for 20 pound bird. |
