OATMEAL YEAST BREAD 
2 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. molasses
3 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in water
2 eggs, well beaten
5 1/2 c. flour, more if needed

Put boiling water over oatmeal and add shortening, molasses and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add eggs and dissolved yeast. Add flour; knead and let rise same as other bread. Form into rolls or two loaves. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
