BEST PASTRY 
3 c. flour, sifted
1 c. lard
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
1 egg
5 to 6 tbsp. cold water

Blend flour and lard; beat rest of ingredients and add to flour mixture. Mix well; freeze or refrigerate 3 balls, one for each crust or top or lattice. This makes 3 crusts. I use 5 tablespoons water and if it is doubled, only 8 tablespoons water.
