SWISS POPPY SEED SANDWICH LOAF 
1 loaf French bread, 20 inches long
8 slices bacon
8 oz. Swiss cheese
1 c. butter, softened
1/8 c. chives
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. mustard
4 tsp. poppy seeds

Cut bread in 1-inch slices (not all the way through). Mix together butter, chives, lemon juice, pepper, mustard and poppy seeds. Spread on each slice of bread. Fry bacon until crisp and crumble.

Put 1 slice of cheese between slices of bread, extending over the top of bread. Sprinkle on bacon. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
