2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 8 inch cake pans or one 9 1/2 x 13 inch pan. Combine all ingredients into large bowl; mix together. Beat approximately 3-4 minutes until mixture is smooth. Pour and bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
