MOTHER'S COMPANY MEAT LOAF | |
2 c. stale bread crumbs 2 c. milk 1 tbsp. parsley 1 egg 1 tbsp. salt Pepper to taste 1 tbsp. baking powder 2 grated onions 2 lb. ground round 1/2 lb. ground pork or (1/4 veal, 1/4 pork) Mix together and form loaf. Cover with 4 strips of bacon. Put in greased roasting pan (9 x 13 inch). Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes then 350 degrees for 1 hour. Pour over, 1 can consomme and 1 cup boiling water. Baste every 15 minutes. Serves 12-15. |
