PEANUT BUTTER CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. milk
Dash salt

CAKE: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in peanut butter, eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Pour into two greased and floured 8" or 9" layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 540 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans. Spread frosting between layers and on top of cake.

FROSTING: Cream butter; blend in peanut butter, vanilla and salt. Add sugar alternately with milk, beating until light and fluffy.

High Altitude: add 1/4 cup more flour to cake.
