LIMA BEAN BAKE 
1 (12 oz.) pkg. dried lima beans, prepared according to pkg. directions
4 slices bacon, chopped
3/4 c. diced onions
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chili peppers, drained
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese, more if necessary
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove, minced

Cook bacon. Remove from pan. Leave 1 to 2 tablespoons grease in skillet. Saute onion slightly. Add chilies, tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices. In 2 quart casserole layer beans, tomato mixture and cheese until all is used. End with cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees about 45 minutes.
