1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 whole eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 scant c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 tbsp. water
1 c. quick oats
1 c. nuts
1 c. Wheaties - add last

Cream butter, white and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add to creamed mixture. Add soda dissolved in water. Add oats, nuts and Wheaties. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 8 dozen small cookies.
