APPLE BREAD WITH TOPPING | |
1/2 c. butter, softened 1 c. sugar 2 beaten eggs 2 c. flour 2 c. peeled, diced apples 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tbsp. buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla extract Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in flour and salt. Dissolve soda in buttermilk, and add to mixture. Mix well. Stir in vanilla and apples. Mix. Pour into greased and floured 9x3x5 loaf pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour and 10 minutes. TOPPING: 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. cinnamon |
