BROWN BREAD 
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. All Brand
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. pecans

Mix together all dry ingredients. Stir in milk. Let stand 5 minutes. Fill greased bread pan or pans 1/2 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes, then turn out to cool completely.

NOTE: Instead of bread pans, a large fruit or vegetable can may be used as baking pan. This is traditional for brown bread.
