1 white or yellow cake mix
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 container Cool Whip

Bake cake according to package directions in a 13x9x2-inch cake pan. while cake is baking, bring pineapple and sugar to a boil; pour over hot cake, which you have poked holes in. (Poke holes with toothpick.) Mix instant pudding as directed; spread over cake. Spread Cool Whip over all; sprinkle with coconut and refrigerate.
