EVERLASTING SLAW 
1 med. cabbage, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 onion, chopped
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed

Bring sugar, vinegar and spices to a boil. Pour over vegetables. Put in refrigerator for 24 hours before serving. (Will keep indefinitely.)
