BERRY SAUCE 
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/13 c. water
4 c. berries
1 tbsp. lemon or orange juice
1/8 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan; stir in water till smooth. Add 1 cup berries, lemon, and desired spice. Cook until clear and thickened, stirring occasionally. Stir in remaining 3 cup berries; cool. Can be used as a sauce or as a filling (yield about 4 cups).
