2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. oatmeal, blended fine
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (8 oz.) Hershey's candy bar, grated
3 c. black walnuts, chopped
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, candy and nuts. Mix well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 6 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes approximately 10 dozen. Recipe can be halved. Cookies freeze well.
