BREAKFAST BARS 
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. rolled oats
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. cooking oil
1/4 c. applesauce
3 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. dried fruit bits
1/4 c. chopped nuts

In medium bowl stir together flour, oats, baking soda and cinnamon. In small bowl stir together oil, applesauce, honey and vanilla. Stir applesauce mixture into flour mixture until combined. Stir in fruit bits (dried apricots and raisins is a good combination) and nuts. Spread in greased 10 x 6 or 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass) 15-20 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Cut into 16 bars.
