ROAD KILL STEW 
8 c. water
1 pkg. onion soup
2 bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 lbs. venison, cut up
1 med. onion, quartered
4 lg. potatoes, cut up
6 carrots, cut up

This is best if cooked in a crock pot. Just start in the morning and it's ready at supper time.

Combine water and next 5 ingredients. Add venison, onion, potatoes and carrots. Cover and cook on high simmer for 8 hours. During the last 15 to 20 minutes add your favorite dumplings or biscuit mix (drop by tablespoon) to the top of bubbling stew. Cover.
