1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. cider
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. allspice

Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Then add beaten eggs. Next add cider in which soda has been added. Mix thoroughly and add flour and allspice. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
