DONUTS 
2 c. sugar
2 c. mashed potatoes
2 eggs
1 c. milk
Pinch salt
1 tbsp. butter
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix in large bowl sugar, potatoes, butter, eggs and salt. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add milk, flour and baking powder to the mixture.

Mix with hands until stiff enough to roll out on a floured board about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out with doughnut cutter and fry in deep fat until light brown. Then flip over and fry other side the same. Then sprinkle (or roll) in powdered sugar.
