APPLE SQUARES 
3 c. flour
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
2 egg yolks
milk
2 cans prepared apple pie filling
2 egg whites
confectionary sugar
water

Mix flour, Crisco, salt and sugar as you would for pie crust. Beat egg yolks and add enough milk to make 2/3 cup. Add to crust mixture and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.

Roll out half of dough mixture and put in cookie sheet. Fill with apples. Roll other half for top. Beat egg whites till frothy and put on top.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. While hot, put glaze made with confectionary sugar and water on top with brush.
