STRAWBERRY SHERBET 
2 qts. fresh strawberries
1 1/2 c. superfine sugar (or equivalent sugar substitute)
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 egg whites

ALTERNATIVE INGREDIENTS:

1 box (10 oz.) frozen sweetened strawberries
1 egg white (omit sugar and lemon juice)

Mix sugar and lemon juice. Mash berries and add. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into berry mixture, cover and freeze for 2 hours. Rebeat mixture and freeze. Serves 10-12.
