SURPRISE SALAD 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
16 marshmallows
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
1 c. whipped topping
1 c. cottage cheese
1/2 c. nuts
1 jar maraschino cherries, cut up fine

Drain juice off pineapple. Add enough water to make 3/4 cup; boil. Pour over Jello and marshmallows until dissolved. Chill. When starting to congeal, add: 1 cup whipped topping, pineapple, cheese, nuts, and cherries. Top with extra nuts or cherries.
