BARBECUED FLANK STEAK 
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 lg. clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1 flank steak (1 1/2 lb.)

Combine all ingredients and cover steak in tight fitting baking dish. Cover and refrigerate from 6 hours to overnight, turn several times.

To barbecue, place steak on grill about 4 inches above a bed of hot, glowing coals. Cook 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium rare.

To serve, cut thin slanting slices diagonally across the grain of the steak.
