TINA'S WEDDING CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. Crisco 2 tbsp. baking powder 5 1/2 c. cake flour 1 tsp. salt 8 egg whites 2 1/4 c. milk 1 tbsp. vanilla or 1 tbsp. almond flavoring Cream sugar and Crisco and beat until light and fluffy. Sift flour with salt and baking powder; add to first mixture alternately with milk. Stir or beat until well blended. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into butter carefully. Add flavoring, and pour into a well-greased and floured 12 x 20 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until it tests done. Yield: 50 small servings. |
