HOMEMADE BREAD | |
2 pkgs. yeast (dry foil packs) 2 1/8 c. warm water 1/4 c. oil 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. blackstrap molasses 1 1/2 tsp. salt 7 c. flour (unbleached) or 3 c. whole wheat and 4 c. unbleached flour You will need a large bowl. Mix all ingredients well. Mold into two dough loaves, then wait for dough to rise. It will rise twice. For first rising, note the time it takes for dough to double in size. For the second rising, allow half the time it took for the first rising. Then bake for 45 or 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Makes two loves. |
