CINNAMON APPLES 
3 c. sugar
3 c. water
12 med. sized cooking apples
1/2 c. cinnamon candy drops
Red food coloring

Cook sugar, water, cinnamon candy and food coloring for 3 minutes. Pare and core apples and drop into syrup. They will float on top, cook slowly. Turn over, place on platter to drain. A stick of cinnamon may be used to garnish on the platter with toast and turkey or served with a vegetable.
