APPLE STRUDEL 
1 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. Quick Quaker Oats
1/2 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sliced apples
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
Cinnamon

Sift flour, salt, soda and brown sugar. Mix in Quaker Oats. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Spread half of mixture in 7x11 greased pan.

Arrange apple slices over crumbs in baking pan. Dot with the butter and sprinkle with the 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon. Cover with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
