BROWN SUGAR APPLE PIE 
6 cooking apples, pared and sliced
2/3 c. sugar
Butter
Cinnamon
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
Pinch of salt
Whipped cream

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a 9 inch pie plate.

Pile apples in plate and sprinkle with sugar, butter and cinnamon. Next cream butter and sugar; add flour and salt. Press this crumbly mixture firmly over apples. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve garnished with whipped cream.

Note: For variation, substitute fresh peaches for apples.
