MEXICAN LASAGNA | |
1 lb. ground turkey, chicken or beef 1 med. onion 1 green pepper, optional 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce or (10 oz.) tomato soup 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix Dash pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder 16 oz. sour cream 10 medium tortillas (sliced into 1 inch strips) 1 lb. cheese, shredded or grated Fry meat, onion and green pepper (if using ground beef drain off fat). Add the next 5 ingredients and cook for 20 minutes. In a 9 x 12 baking dish layer in this order: 1/3 sauce; three tortillas, sliced into strips. Like you would lasagne noodles. 1/2 of the cheese, 1/3 of sauce, three whole tortillas (sliced into strips) same as above; 1/2 container of sour cream, three whole tortillas (same as above); remainder of sour cream, 1/3 sauce (the remainder); remainder 1/2 cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. |
