1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. onion, grated
1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. salad oil
1 tbsp. celery seed

Mix all dry ingredients together. Add small amounts of oil and vinegar, alternately and mix well with mixer. Refrigerate and shake well before serving.

Variation: substitute 1 small grated onion and juice and 1 teaspoon celery seed.
