BEAN POT 
2 #2 cans red kidney beans
2 tbsp. bacon fat
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1 sm. bay leaf
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. wine vinegar
1/2 c. watermelon pickle juice or picked or spiced peaches
4 bacon strips

Drain juice from two #2 cans of red kidney beans and place in a bean pot. Mix all following ingredients except bacon strips and pour over beans. Stir to mix. Top with 4 bacon strips. Cover and bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour. Remove cover, run under broiler flame until bacon is crisp.
