1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 egg whites
5 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. Karo syrup

Cook over boiling water, beating at high speed all the time until it forms soft peaks when you lift the beaters. Remove from fire and beat in 2 teaspoon vanilla.
