1 (2 layer) pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (16 oz.) pkg. caramels
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Prepare cake mix using package directions. Pour 1/2 of cake mix in greased 9 x 13 pan.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Melt caramels with evaporated milk and butter in microwave. Mix well. Pour over cake. Layer on chocolate chips, pecans and remaining batter.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
