QUICK CHERRY PIE 
Baked Pie Shell
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 cans (16 oz. each) pitted tart red cherries (water pack), drained
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/3 c. sliced almonds

1. Bake pie shell. Set aside. Blend sugar, cornstarch and salt in medium bowl. Stir in cherries.

2. Microwave at high (100%) until mixture is translucent, 8-11 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking. Stir in almond extract. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with almonds. Chill.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
