3 lg. onions 1 bunch celery 3 lg. green peppers 1/4 lb. butter 1 hot cherry pepper 1 lb. ground beef Salt and pepper 1 lg. can crushed tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce Cut all vegetables in samll pieces. Cook celery until soft in water to cover. Add balance of vegetables, cook slowly until tender. Add large can crushed tomatoes and 1 can tomato sauce, let simmer for 15 minutes. Brown hamburger in separate skillet. Add to vegetable mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Heat and serve on hot dog roll (steamed). Salt and pepper to taste. Crushed cherry pepper is optional (I like it hot). |
