PAPRIKA CHICKEN 
2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. paprika
Sour Cream Gravy (below)

Mix together flour, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Brown in shortening. Add onion, water and paprika. Cover tightly; simmer about 45 minutes. Remove chicken and keep warm. Prepare Sour Cream Gravy and serve with mashed potatoes.

SOUR CREAM GRAVY:

Pan juices
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sour cream

Blend flour and salt into pan juices. Add milk and sour cream, stirring constantly until thickened and heated through.
