FIRST LAYER:

1 stick soft butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. pecans
Pinch salt

Cream and spread in 9 x 12 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool.

SECOND LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. Cool Whip
1 c. confectioners' sugar

Cream sugar and cheese. Add Cool Whip. Spread on first layer and sprinkle with coconut.

THIRD LAYER:

2 sm. pkgs. instant pudding mix (vanilla or coconut or 1 each)

Mix with 3 cups cold milk or 2 or 3 minutes. Spread on second layer.

FOURTH LAYER:

Top with Cool Whip, sprinkle with coconut and 1/2 cup toasted pecans. Refrigerate overnight.
