CHOCOLATE SHORTBREAD 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1/2 c. very fine granulated sugar
2 sq. semi sweet chocolate melted
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
Green decorating frosting from pressurized can or a tube
Candied red cherries, slivered

Bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Make 8 dozen. Cream butter with sugar until fluffy light in medium size bowl. Beat in melted chocolate, stir in flour until well blended. Spread dough evenly in an ungreased baking pan 13 x 9 x 2. Bake in slow oven (300 degrees) 40 minutes or until firm. Cool slightly in pan on wire rack, then cut lengthwise into 8 strips and crosswise into 12 to make about 1 inch squares. Cool completely. Decorate each with green frosting and a sliver of candied cherry.
