BUTTER FUN COOKIES 
2/3 c. butter
1 c. Crisco or other shortening
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 boxes yellow, white, spice, or chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix butter, shortening, egg yolks and vanilla on low speed. Blend in cake mix, 1/3 of mixture at a time. If dough seems too dry, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of water. Stir in nuts and drop dough with teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven on 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Yield: 8 dozen.
