HERMAN COFFEE CAKE 
2 c. Herman starter
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. powdered ginger
2 eggs
2/3 c. light salad oil
1 c. walnuts, chopped coarse
1 c. raisins

Mix all ingredients together. Pour into a well greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. As oven heats, mix topping.

TOPPING:

1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter, melted

Combine ingredients and sprinkle over top of cake. Put cake in preheated oven and bake 40 minutes. When cake comes out of oven, make glaze.

GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tbsp. milk
2-3 tbsp. lemon juice and/or liqueur of choice

Beat all ingredients together until drizzly. Drizzle over still warm cake. Serve from baking pan. Serves 8-10.
