ANGEL BISCUITS | |
5 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tbsp. water (warm) 1 c. butter or shortening 2 c. buttermilk or regular milk 1 pkg. dry yeast Dissolve yeast in warm water; then add to milk. Combine dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add liquids. Roll, cut and let stand for 10 minutes before baking. Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen. o freeze: Bake biscuits 6 minutes. Let cool, then freeze. Remove from freezer and cook 6 minutes at 400 degrees whenever you wish to serve. |
