RICE KRISPIES TREATS 
1/4 c. butter
1 (10 oz.) pkg. (about 40) regular marshmallows or 4 c. miniature
6 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal

Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into buttered 9x13x2 inch pan. Cut into squares when cool. Yield: 24 squares, 2x2 inches. For thicker squares, press warm mixture into 9x9x2 inch pan.

NOTE: Use fresh marshmallows for best results.

VARIATIONS:

RAISIN: Add 1 cup raisins with cereal.

PEANUT: Add 1 cup peanuts with cereal.

PEANUT BUTTER: Stir 1/4 cup peanut butter into marshmallow mixture just before adding cereal.
