YEAST ROLLS
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. oil or shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour
1 egg

Soften yeast in warm water. Combine the milk, sugar, oil and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 1/2 c. flour and beat well. Beat egg in yeast mixture and gradually add the remaining flour. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes or you may use a dough hook. Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the dough all over. Cover, place in a warm place to rise until doubled in bulk (1-2 hours).

Punch dough down, shape in rolls, let rise for 45 to 50 minutes more.

Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. Brush tips with melted butter after taking from the oven.
