BIG NONI CASCIO CHOCOLATE
COOKIES
 
1 c. Crisco
4 c. flour
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. nut meats
2 1/2 c. water
4 eggs
1 whiskey glass of whiskey
2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix flour and Crisco together like for pie crust. Set aside. Cook dates and raisins in the water, for 20 minutes. Cool, then add nutmeats. Set aside. Beat eggs very well and add whiskey. Add to crust-like mix then add all dry ingredients and cooled raisin, date nut mix. Mix well. Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 350°F till slightly brown; about 20 minutes.

Frost with glaze.

Glaze:

Confectioners sugar
water
vanilla

Make a thin frosting to coat the cooled cookies with. Frost cookies on wire racks over paper toweling to catch frosting run off.
