SWEET CARDAMON BREAD 
1 1/2 qt. scalded milk
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1/4 c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
Cardamon seed (15-20) or more
1 c. butter, melted
14-16 c. flour

Warm water and 1 tablespoon sugar to dissolve yeast.

Scald milk and add sugar, salt and seeds. When cool add yeast and beaten eggs. Start adding flour about one half. Then add half the butter and rest of butter. Let rise until double in bulk. Knead and shape into loaves. Place in greased pans and let rise again. Brush with 1 beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar and bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
